Prima Actuaries and Consultants (Pty) Ltd was established early 2015 and specialises in the quantification of damages in personal, corporate and commercial matters relating to motor vehicle (and other) accidents, medical negligence, unfair dismissal, breach of contract, loss of profits and similar other cases.

We also specialise in the capitalisation of maintenance needs (usually required for claims against deceased estates and for divorce settlements) and the capitalisation of future medical expenses.

The firm prides itself in clear and easily understandable wording and quick turnaround of its actuarial reports, whilst maintaining high quality and personal interaction between us as the actuaries and our clients being the law practitioners. Given the advanced software developed by the firm, we are also in a position to deliver multiple scenarios per case with competitive pricing.

The firm combines the ambition and technological expertise of dynamic actuary and owner Kobus Pretorius and the wealth of experience of George L Marx (former professor of Insurance and Actuarial Science at the University of Pretoria).

The firm is physically based in North West and Gauteng operating from Brits and Pretoria (Waterkloof Ridge) to conveniently serve the Bars of Johannesburg and Northern Gauteng, but not excluding any other jurisdictions.
